2026 Hard MTB League international applications & TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS!
Hard MTB League is dropping big news: four-time World Champion Caroline Buchanan has joined the organization's advisory board AND the league is awarding global travel awards to bring international athletes to the 2026 season qualifier in Boise, Idaho.
With Caroline's support, Hard MTB League is awarding two IGNITR travel awards for young riders (ages 10-19) from Australia and New Zealand – one male and one female athlete who will compete in the May 23rd qualifier. Inspired by Caroline's commitment to developing the next generation, Hard MTB League is adding two additional travel awards for riders of any age from anywhere outside North America.
We are looking for skilled INTERNATIONAL athletes committed to self mastery on and off the bike, so if that sounds like you fill out this application before January 31, 2026 to be considered to race in the qualifier event May 23rd in Boise, Idaho. Once all applications are in the selection committee will determine the athletes that are the best fit for the Hard MTB League. If you are one of the many international athletes that have already applied you are in the pool to win the travel scholarship.
You must be an ATHLETE living outside of North America to qualify for either of these scholarships, and ensure the event dates work with your travel and race schedule for 2026. May 20-23, 2026 and October 21-24, 2026.
Fill out application as completely and as soon as possible—don't wait! ALL applications must be in by February 15, 2026. There may be some areas that you feel are not as strong as you would like, it's OK, we are looking at the entire athlete including new talent!
On the application we ask for two personal references. These references can be anyone from a family member, coach, spiritual leader, community leader, or friend. They should know you very well.

As a reminder we are looking for all around talented mountain bike riders and incredible people willing to be vulnerable and share their journey all the way to the win! You need to be able to intereact well with other riders and Hard MTB League staff and volunteers.
Be patient… The selection committee made up of seasoned professionals, league executives, and industry experts will need some time to go through all of the applications before announcing the application winners in February.
